Include all details clearly

Personal Profile

This should be about you, what you have to offer, insights into your personality and what it is that you are trying to achieve.

Qualifications

Start with your professional qualifications, dates and grades achieved if applicable. You should also include any membership to relevant professional bodies. After this you should list your education, starting with your most recent first. Lastly you should include any relevant training courses you have attended, supplying dates and details as necessary.

Work History

This part of your CV should be split into two sections starting with your employment over the previous 5 years. It should form the bulk of your CV, but be careful not to make it too lengthy. Ensure that you have listed your correct job title and that the Company details and dates are correct. You should bullet point up to 10 duties, listing the most important first. Finally finish with details of 2 projects you have been involved with if possible.

The second part of the work history should be employment prior to the last 5 years. It is important to maintain accuracy here but Duties and Projects need not be listed, just a summary of the role performed.

Remember that the CV is the tool needed to initially promote you for a job. Ensure that it reflects what you are trying to say about you and your abilities. Keep it professional and concise, never more than 3 pages.

Follow these guidelines and you can only improve your chances!

Good Luck!
